Leadership & Organisational Support for Community Services and Government

Values-led leadership support grounded in experience, fairness, and care

Based in South West WA, Ma Collective partners with leaders and organisations across community services and government to strengthen leadership, support people, and improve systems that benefit communities.

We work with leaders at every level, from emerging leaders to executives, providing practical guidance to navigate complexity, manage responsibility, and make sound decisions where people, systems and services intersect.

Our approach is shaped by deep sector experience, fairness, and a belief that strong leadership is essential to safe, effective and sustainable services.

Our Philosophy – Working in the Space Between Reflection and Action

Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Ma, meaning “the space in between,” we focus on the critical moments between reflection and action, instability and change, and intent and impact.

In community services and government, leaders are often required to act quickly under pressure, balancing compliance, care, risk, and accountability. We create space to pause and reflect, ensuring decisions are thoughtful, defensible and aligned with values.

This philosophy underpins all our work, enabling leaders and teams to move forward with confidence, purpose, and integrity.

Working Across South West WA and Statewide

We are proudly based in South West WA. Working in person across Bunbury, Busselton, Dunsborough, Margaret River, Nannup, Bridgetown, Manjimup and surrounding areas, with online support Statewide. Selective in-person support is available for projects in Perth and the Peel region.

Our structure allows close, responsive partnerships with organisations, rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.

A Moment To Reflect

  • Are your leaders supported to pause, reflect and act with confidence …. or is pressure in the system limiting the impact your organisation could be making?

  • Are your teams clear on expectations, supported to perform and held accountable fairly and consistently?

  • Do your systems, processes and practices give you confidence that your organisation is compliant, safe and operating effectively?

If any of this feels uncertain, reach out as we can help.
